We`re Liz and Dennis food and travel vloggers for eatseetv we`ve spent more than a year and a half traveling Mexico (25/32) states and this is our 2nd trip to Mexico City.
The food scene here is unreal! From Michelin dinning to street food you can find incredibly tasty (and often affordable) food at any hour.
Here`s the favorite dishes we ate on our 1 week trip *IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER 🤤
🐙 Pulpo Tostada from caracoldemarcdmx (the same chef as contramarmx )
🌮 Tacos from Taqueria Jaime in Roma Norte. Only $10 pesos each ($0.50)
🫓 Gordita with chicarron prensado from comaloculto it was perfection
🫓 Huitlacoche and chicarron quesadilla from La Merced Market. Huitlacoche is a fungus that grows on corn! You have to try it!
🧅 Grilled onions from baldio.mx in a grasshopper butter and hibiscus sauce
🦐 Vanilla prawns from masalaymaiz
🌮 Costilla tacos from Michelin awarded Taqueria El Califa de León. If people say they`re overrated they don`t know what they`re talking about...

🐟 Marlin tamale from plonk.mx transported us back to Baja 💜

I get back to Mexico City to end my trip where it began! Having had a solid party 🎉 night on my last night in Puerto Escondido, I really needed a long rest after getting into CDMX the day before. Having caught up on my sleep, I was feeling really fresh on this beautiful Sunday!
I asked for recommendations of things to do from my followers & many of you guys told me about the punk rock flea market, Tianguis Cultural del Chopo! It usually takes place on Saturdays, but because today was Father’s Day, it was on!
I brought my new friend, iamzick, that I met at my hostel, wanderlust.district & we headed out shopping! It was such a nice surprise to meet so many of my viewers & followers at El Chopo also! It really made my day & I am so grateful for all of your support, because without you guys, I wouldn’t be where I am today!
After the flea market, iamzick & I grabbed lunch at the #vegan restaurant, plantasiacafe then headed to subterraneo_tattoo to get my second earring hole pierced!
iamzick & I enjoyed the rest of our afternoon walking around, found another flea market & had some drinks. It was such a great Sunday Funday!

This trip I was in town for my sister’s wedding and we picked FS Mexico City fsmexico because it’s not only super central but it’s a little oasis in the middle of the city.
Nima Local House is also lovely, more boutique if that’s what you’re looking for and beautifully decorated.
